Not sure rad is big enough

Would the system need to be drained to change a radiator upstairs?

Not sure rad is big enough

Well they wouldn't have been able to drill into them anyway. I think it's wood behind those tiles and then a layer of breeze block, but you're right to assume I'm not 100% sure. Assessor said it couldn't be done. Under the downstairs window is insulated, it's just that upper part. The side and...

Not sure rad is big enough

Ok, window is 120cm wide by 105 deep and double glazed. Loft insulation is 300mm, inner wall I think is breeze but I don't know. The cavity wall was insulated in January, but the wall where the window is on the front of the house couldn't be done because of tiles there. I see what you're...

Not sure rad is big enough

As the title really, not long had a new radiator installed in our small bedroom, but it doesn't seem to heat the room much. It takes the edge off but that's about it. The rad is 600 high by 800 wide K1 or single panel with fins. The radiator itself gets damn hot. The room is 2.3 long x...

    Computer keeps turning itself off

OK well if you're unsure, don't do anything with that drive. Model should be on the tower or go to the link below and enter your serial number. You may be able to download the restore cds from there, long shot but you never know. http://support.packardbell.com/uk/

    Computer keeps turning itself off

Have you got a lot of valuable data on there? Pics etc which you can't afford to lose? Maybe have a look to see if you can get the restore discs first, and maybe a new hard drive. Replace the old one, do a restore and then put your disk in as a second one to pull the data off. I think if...

    Hard drive not recognised

You can get PCI cards with USB ports in, and shouldn't cost very much. What happens with the drive if you put the original keyboard back in? Daft one, but did you also plug the drive back into the same USB it used to be in? Tried other USB ports?

    Computer keeps turning itself off

Do you have an XP CD or whatever the OS is? Install an XP CD, boot off it and then at the options press R for a repair. When you get the command prompt, type fix boot, and say yes at the prompt, then type fixmbr and then y again. After that, type chkdsk /R. If that doesn't work, then boot...

Salus RT500RF Programmable Room Stat Questions

Just press set, and then up or down arrows then select, then up or down then select etc etc and when you're done press set. The hardest part I found was changing between Mon-Fri and Sat-Sun.

    swine flue vaccination

My Wife is pregnant too, and we're of exactly the same opinion, especially with this being our first child too. A little worrying in all honesty for her and you never know what the right decision is. I personally wouldn't bother with it for myself.

    Why

Interesting..... I thought that would be with your nerves not being able to tell the difference between hot and cold for a split second. Something to do with the way your body tells between hot and cold. For instance something freezing cold when you first touch it can feel like it's boiling hot.

Going a little smaller is one like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Omniview-2-Port-Switch-Cabling/dp/B0002B3E5U Or you could just get PS2 to USB adapters for your existing KVM.

LCD TV mounted over gas fire

Sony LCDs are pretty good IMHO, well I have one  but I wouldn't have anything else apart from a PS3 from Sony. Samsung have the same panels as Sony, it's just the technology behind them that's different. Loewe are a make some people rave about on the AV forums, but very expensive...

Cracker of a puzzle. HD tv with no hdmi and no sound :(

I've never used a PS3 so I could be talking rubbish, but are you trying to send a 1080p signal to it? (possible rubbish bit that as I don't know how PS3 works) but component can only take 1080i max as can your TV.

Wii - what accessories do I need?

My Wife loves her Wii Sports Resorts and Wii Fit Plus. The motion plus are worth getting too, but can be a bit of a PITA now and again when they need aligning. Rayman Ravin Rabbids is worth a laugh.

LCD TV mounted over gas fire

Where would your Sky/DVD/Blu-Ray etc go? Sounds like a bad idea to me, and additional heat really won't help the life of the TV surely. It's like a PC almost I'd have thought, and the TV is hot as heat is being dispersed from the processors inside, and you'd be adding to it.

Give Jabba Sport a call, they may be able to help. Usually pretty helpful guys, although the journey is a bit far to Peterborough for you. They may be able to recommend a specialist down your way too.
