Combi's & Flow rates for showers

I had the Baxi Duotec 40HE fitted last year and its an excellent boiler. Very hot water and perfect for a very decent shower. Heats the house very quickly and has been a lot cheaper to run than our old Sime Friendly which was no where near as powerful. The 40 HE gives out 16L per min though. Id...

Baxi Platinum 33 HE or is there a better alternative?

Ive had the Baxi Duotec 40 for just under a year now and its been an excellent buy. It was 1300 quid fitted, gives loads of hot water and has been cheaper to run than my old Sime Friendly which was around half the kw. It can be a bit loud on start up but soon settles down.

Baxi platinum 33 combi boiler - your views please

Ive just had the Baxi Duo-Tec 40 supplied and fitted for £1350. It was a straight swap for my old combi and it it loads better. Proper hot water within 20 seconds, the shower now blasts to the other side of the bath like a power shower and the rads are now untouchable when its on full. I was...

    Where to drain condensate?

Unfortuatly where the boiler is, there is no easy way to get to any drain. The boiler will be on the side of the house and the drains front and back are on the boundrys with next door, both ways the pipe will have to pass a door with a step outside it, covering a distance of around 8m.

    Where to drain condensate?

Im looking at having a new combi fitted, possibly a Baxi Duo-tec 40, in place of my Sime Friendly. The one problem I can see is that the new combi is condensing and I dont have a drain close for it to drain into. I could possibly drain it into the front garden as a soakaway but is it allowed to...

WB Greenstar 37CDi as a new boiler?

There will be 2 adults and 2 kids in the house. The rooms now are just too small and its cheaper to extend than move. We like the neighbors and area too so would rather stay where we are. Will still have one bathroom and maybe a shower room, only one will be used at a time i would have thought...

WB Greenstar 37CDi as a new boiler?

Im looking at replacing my old Sime Friendly boiler with a Worcester bosch greenstar 37cdi in the next month or so. Some rads not heating up.

The boiler is downstairs and the pump is on 3 upstairs in the airing cupboard. We took off one rad to see if it was blocked or not and it flowed out fine. Hot water came out one of the pipes when disconnected but when hooked back up the rad still didnt get hot. The water was pretty clean that...

Flow too high for combi boiler?

Check under the bath for the water pipe to the electric shower. If there is an isolation valve on it, try turning it a touch to slow the flow of water to the shower and it should heat it up a touch more. Most people would have had one fitted when the shower was installed. On my combi boiler...

    Some rads not heating up.

Ive got a problem in an old Victorian house with some rads not heating up. Im not sure on the model of the boiler but might be able to find out. There are 10 big rads in the house and most have the pipes running from ceiling to floor and back again, with very high ceilings. The upstairs was...
