    Living Room Flush ceiling Lighting?

Has anyone fitted those flush (tilting) halogen lights in their living room? How difficult was/is it? Does it make your living room look like an art gallery? I like the idea of them above certain parts of the living room to shine down on pictures etc, but i also want to use traditional...

Radiator Stat Valves - Which One?

Hi All Could the type of radiator stat valves have any effect on the amount of noise made from the system when the radioators start to shut down? We're getting a loud rushing noise from one of the radiators and the un-valved bathroom towel heater which is driving us mad. Is there much...

    Noisy Combi

Hi chrishutt The installer did not leave any benchmark documentation. No room stat was fitted. He said we wouldn't need one because each radiator had it's own thermostat. I have opened the towel heater fully again. As part of the quote, it did state that they would flush the system and...

Thanks for the advice ChrisR The whole thing is a farce. The last straw was when he fitted a rusty secondhand pump to try and make it quieter. Never again .... Andy

    Noisy Combi

Thanks Guys The installer didn't mention anything about a benchmark logbook! We are still on speaking terms and we called him in yesterday. He agreed that it was noisy and then proceeded to 'tweak' all of the radiators to try and quieten the noise. He succeeded to some degree, but my...

    Noisy Combi

We've just had a new Baxi Combi 105 HE boiler and radiators fitted. When the heating is on there's a loud noise through the house that sounds like water being drained off (heavy rain outside). This is loud enough to be very annoying. It will be unbearable in the winter when we have to have...

Combi Boiler - condensate pipe/pressure valve

Pipe work running outside of the garage at the front of the property. Ugly i think. If only they had told me i would have tried to get them to put the boiler elsewhere. Any ideas of making it look neater?

Combi Boiler - condensate pipe/pressure valve

Plaster knocked off from around the window in the living room. They had to feed new pipes down the wall which they did at least tell me about.

Outside Brickwork, where the old boiler vent was - They told me that they'd match the bricks up to the existing brick work.

Combi Boiler - condensate pipe/pressure valve

Plaster bulging and cracked from where they removed the old bolier from the other side of the kitchen wall. I think they may have hammered something flat where the old boiler was. This has then knocked the bricked work and pushed the plaster out on the other side.

The living room ceiling - hard to see in the photo, but where they cleaned up has left dirty smudge marks
