    A lot of boilers will have a build in vent . Otherwise bring the pipes above the boiler, tee the pipes, put vent points above and gently slope the pipes across and down towards the boiler.

    You would have thought that a manufacture would have installed a wire that would take the maximum load required. They must have saved at least £50 on a couple of thousand units using less copper wire. :)

    concentrate at the gym in building your upper body strength for a month or two. Try again it will be easy. See not only plumbing advice here but body training advice as well :)

    See the red wire on the unit you put the red wire from the cable into one of the same terminal holes (two wires in one terminal is ok. make sure its good and tight).

    Don't think you needed to remove the circlip but you should be able to undo the tap valve with a spanner. They can be very tight and require some force be careful not to disturb the pipework below as this can cause a leak.

    Should say if its inside the boiler dont go there get an engineer.If the main heat exchanger is leaking you will never see it.

    There will be a leak somewhere you just need to find it. When the system is cold is best as hot water evaporates. Look outside where the pressure relief pipe goes outside for signs of drips. Keep looking and you will find it.

    Turn the power off and remove the fuse. red wire to center terminal. L=live Blue wire to botom terminal N = neurtal Yellow wire to top right terminal SL = switch live. If your not confident with electrics dont try it.

    You cant fit any gas valve that is not approved by the manufacturer. Repairing them can be a nightmare, if it is just the solenoid you might be able to change it. Also you would struggle to find someone who would strip it down and repair it as again all parts need to be approved. Its not worth...

    Yes you would expect as gas engineer to check its safe operation when working on your appliance. But he may have completed them without you knowing, most safety checks are quick and easy to do some are just visual observation.

    Most new single channel programmers will come with a guide to change it from the exsisting , so it should be easy to swop for one of your choice. Running the boiler with no external controls is not a problem only more expensive.
