    gsm / wirefree auto dialler.

id say the going rate is proably higher. There are lower priced gsm diallers, but have you tried buying a mobile phone thats not network locked/subsidised? non gsm diallers are far cheaper.

    New Alarm System

triple eol, is nomrally used for additional reporting, ie mask or fault etc. But i agree the sensors and door contacts with built in resistors makes things a lot easier

    New Alarm System

single eol is the old (american i believe) eol system that provides cable cut protection butt no short circuit protection that the more usual double eol provides.

Pros and cons of using alarm system for smoke/fire detectors

From my personal opinion, id say they are better than none/battery units but care should be taken as it is nowhere near as good as a full fire alarm, with fireproof cable etc. If the cable is damaged by the fire before the sensor activates then you may or may not get an alarm from it depending...

    New Alarm System

while the above is a good idea to give individual tamper indication in a double pole system, it doest provide short circuit protection between tamper and alarm. The tamper circuit is a different polarity to the alarm circuit so a fault (ie a nail or a defeat attempt etc) shorting the alarm...

    New Alarm System

EOL will allow for individual tampers, ie each device can report a tamper, rather than using the global tamper. If you only have 1 device per zone then id persoanlly go for eol.

Wireless CCTV - Will it stop a wireless PC network working ?

If your adding wireless cctv with an ip cam as one the posts begins to indicate you can have upto 253 devices on a 255.255.255.0 subnet Obviously you can go further by altering the subnet but 255 is usually enough If your using a wireless cam that operates on 802.11x freq then in my experience...

    New Alarm System

there are various regulations you need to consider for your fire alarm, the OSG is purly a interpretation guide to 7671. The reqirement for sound levels and system design comes from 5839. mains operated smokes are not anything to do with 5839 nor are ones linked to your intruder alarm. In time...

Alarms - Wireless v Hard wired

Out of choice yes id agree go with wired and avoid the diy type wireless, but decent wireless kit is available that while not as good as wired is far better then low security, easy to configure wireless. But it does have its issus that wired doesnt, but then it doesnt have wires lol

    SPLIT:securitech alarm c023 203

also i would think its an old c&k maybe an active 5 clone etc. If its activating while unset then i would guess at a tamper issue or battery issue as above
