    main service earths

yeah cos what you said makes soo much sense now everyone has plastic services. if what you said was true then we'd fit rods on every PME install, somthing i think that should be done. if the 10/16mm bond is for PME then why do we do it on other supplies?

You'll probably find they dont want to install the CU you've bought, as frankly its a pile of sh*t, to be honest. If you take a photo we can probably tell if you need a skeleton board or not.

    Burglar Alarm installing power

I'd say straight from the CU, use a 6 amp breaker and 1.5mm twin and earth. I think this option in neater as it avoids problems with power being lost in the even of the RCD tripping.

    EASY ONE FOR YOU FOLKS....

as you've said, connect your brown wire the the group of red wires in the rose. The blue wire connects with the blacks in the neutral of the rose. and earth to earth as you said. I'm a bit worried by your comments on the wire, is it twin and earth? or flex? i say this as you dont get 3 amp...

    Overhead electric cables

on large power lines you have 2 sets of each phase, so you have two red phase, two yellow phase and two blue phase. the 7th wire is an earth wire strung abouve them to try and deter lighting from striking the lines. 11kV lines are all 3 phase or 2 phase. neutrals are provided from the...

    still one light to go

thinking about it you shouldn't need the brown strapper. one red goes to one L1, and the black that goes with that red goes to L2 Then in the upside down one, the other red goes to L1 and the black goes to L2 again. so just as you said really lol

    still one light to go

try having the brown wire from l1 to l1 again, but have the red wires in L1 and L1 too. Then have the balck wires in L2 Hope this makes sense

Turning a 3 way into a 2 way light circuit??

remember if you crimp them so they can be plastered over that the cable is likely to be in a route it shouldn't be. Best to keep a blanking plate there

Two lighting circuit radials on one MCB

i dont see anything wrong with it, also allows them to be put on seperate breakers at a later date.
