2 week old skim plaster-microporous paint or not?

Thanks guys. Its that question'when is the skim dry'!! If i dont think it is properly dry, use supermatt and if i am sure it is dry, use a mist coat of vinyl emulsion - is that about the sum of it? Dulux retail matt emulsion does not say how much to dilute - it says use plaster sealer(Dulux!!)...

2 week old skim plaster-microporous paint or not?

I know this subject has been discussed before - so apologies! The ceiling was skimmed 2 weeks ago and needs to be painted now(carpet due). Should I use microporous paint for new plaster (to be safe) or matt emulsion. If microporous route, do you need to dilute the first coat? Thanks as usual !!

I tested an area...

    painting over wallpaper border

My friend has anaglypta which is to be repainted with silk emulsion. He has a paper border along the top, which he wants to paint over as removing will damage the anaglypta. Can I paint the silk straight onto this or should I put another paint on first? thanks

I am filling in a door size aperture with plasterboard - in a finished wall. Should i leave the plasterboard recessed in a little to allow for skim plaster. If so - how much? Or should i bring the plasterboard level and fill/sand along joining edges. Thanks

The paint on concrete step edges is fine. Used it on terracotta tile steps and it just peels off after usage. Any ideas what I could prime with first which may improve bond. Thanks
