    I find the easiest way is to measure your panel height and mark that on the back wall the bath is to sit against. Level it all the way around and fix 2x1 1/2 cls to the walls - bearing in mind the top edge of your timbers will sit on your pencil mark . Drop your bath onto the timber runnners...

    you mean when you were pumping up the expansion vessel the pressure gauge on the boiler was moving yes? if this is the case then it is the expansion vessel thats knackered.

    when you open the valve on the vessel do u get water out? if not much more likely prv is problem. This is assuming that there is a water coming gout he discharge pipework!

    If not the filling loop, most obv is a spilt plate heat exchanger. Probably about £80-£100 for the part, if you have a fair level of DIY skill u should be able to tackle it yourself, but if not it will costing you a few quid to get it someone in to sort it.

    vented systems are a bit old hat now, plus a vented cyclinder would mean u would lose the advantage of high pressure HW which you have now. Probs be better off with a system boiler and unvented cyclinder.

    so the boiler doesn't light when hw is opened? faulty flow switch most likely. wont be the diverter valve as the boiler would light when hw is demanded, but you wouldnt get and hw thru. think you were right in your first post, i didnt read it properly!
