check the flue for blockage. sounds like it isnt getting combustion air, which it will get with the cover off, but when your seal it again it takes the air from outside.

probs passing throught the diverter. shut you heating off and let it get cold. open your your hot tap then feel the htg flow pipe. if this heats up, thats your problem.

yeah agree with the above, sounds like pump failing, heat not getting away, boiler goin to overheat.

Most probably dhw thermistor ( sometimes refered to as NTC's / PTC's / Temperature sensor ) fault. Only cost £20 or so and easy to replace, you'll find the position on your manual, not familiar with this boiler so unsure if it is wet pocket, but most are so likely you'll need to drain down...
