Are these rings you intend on splitting supplying any fixed heating loads or kitchen outlets........if they are then do not split them.

if yoou have been using the lights for the past 18 months with all lamps in place and working i would look for a fault on the wiring or the dimmer

If these appliances are of the Built -in underworktop type, then make sure the plug is not going to foul the back when attempting to install the new appliance.

Not as simple as that cos your oven will require local fuse protection if rated 3kw or less..........sfcu will be required.

gti You state you have just bought the house and had the consumer unit replaced and describe it as a Split-load type. Would that be a Dual RCD Split-load type or a Single RCD Split-load type...i.e are ALL the circuits in it protected by RCDs or only some of them ?

All wiring systems and equipment have to be suitable for their intended location and use taking into account all extraneous influences. If you can understand that statement then thats your answer. If you dont understand it then you need to contact a qualified Electrician....preferably one...

You are still of the opinion that it is the neutral that is switched. Is your wiring circuit in singles as opposed to T&E ? Also can you answer Taylortwocities enquiry regarding the proposed location of this fan.
