Ive gone and bought a Terrarium

Thats me put in my place! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: (And for some strange reason, by the time I was getting near the end I was silently speaking in a Southern drawl. Think I was sounding a bit like Dolly Parton to be honest.

What have you been doing today?

Make sure you thoroughly discharge it before poking your fingers inside. Many, many years ago my ex-brother in-law brought round a CRT TV for me to look at. It had been in the back of his car for at least a month. Took the cover off and started poking around when I got a terrific jolt...

Ive gone and bought a Terrarium

So does this YT video make it any clearer what you actually have? I'm sticking with vivarium because you are having living animals in it.

Ive gone and bought a Terrarium

Are you sure you don't mean Vivarium? This is what you usually use for things like frogs and lizards. A Terrarium is a small jar or glass tank for growing very small plants in miniature gardens.

Can't really do that in a kitchen though. ;-)

What have you been doing today?

Between my wife and I we changed the drain hose on the dishwasher. The old one must have been leaking for quite a while but wasn't used much by late FIL. Now we use it on a regular basis the leak had become apparent. Pulled the machine out and put it on rinse cycle to see if we could spot where...

I am parting with old electrical tools Lathe, Bandsaw etc.

Advert in the local paper, or there is a website called 'Freegle' I think. If you are on Facebook you could also sell/give them away on Marketplace. Not sure how you do it but a lot of people use it. You could make yorself, or you mum, a few bob by asking for 'Reasonable Offers', or if you just...

What have you been doing today?

I've had 3 in total on my kidneys, (well, the right one), and the only feeling was the slight sharp scratch as they put the anaesthetic in, followed by a cold feeling. After that, absolutely nothing. Laid on my back for about 4 hours then sent home with a plaster and told no heavy lifting for at...

What have you been doing today?

Recovering from liver biopsy I had 2 days ago. Actual procedure was fine but afterwards, when the anaesthetic had worn off, it was very painful. Couldn't take a deep breath, in fact could only take short gasps, so thought my lung had been punctured. Then a matron came in and gently persuaded me...

New fuse box needed - would it be easier to become an electrician than employ one?

Thanks John. Didn't have the inclination to trawl through all those pages.

New fuse box needed - would it be easier to become an electrician than employ one?

I have a question. Do you rent the flat or have you bought it, but not bought the freehold? Quite simply, if you pay a landlord rent each month without having a vested interest in the property, (i.e. Landlord sells it to someone else and you don't get a share of the proceeds), then all this is...

    Hanging cricket ball and adjustments

This has got A&E written all over it when the string snaps and the ball ricochets' back at you. Or the ball hits the ceiling and comes flying back at you at speed.

The Serious Risk Of Wearing Fake Rolex Etc Watches

I'm currently wearing a Gianello 7785BK. Came in a very swish cash with a sale price of £485 and has a symbol similar to the one on a Bentley car. Looks 'fairly' expensive and has been running perfectly to the second since I bought it about 6 months ago. Price I paid was £19.99 from TK Max, so...

    stuck power driver bit

Pair of mole grips around the chuck body and a pair of pipe grips or mole grips on the bit, (there seems to a bit of a flat edge next to the chuck). Gently waggling back and forth, even it it doesn't feel as though it's moving, should eventually slacken it. Take your time and don't try to rush...

    What are you drinking tonight?

:ROFLMAO: You can make the first sensible offer! I'm going to speak to them next week when I've had the biopsy. I used to have a bottle a night, then realised it was just becoming habit and I wasn't enjoying it as much. So I started knocking off the odd night and began to enjoy it again...

    What are you drinking tonight?

Cup of Kenco Decaf coffee. Decided to give up drinking nearly 3 weeks ago when they discovered cancer cells in my bile duct, which runs through my liver. In to hospital on Tuesday for a liver biopsy to see exactly where the cancer is, (bile duct or liver), so no point in aggravating my liver...

    MOT & Tail Light

My car passed with no problems but on the invoice, it stated, "Both rear tyres have full width tread depth of 6mm. Both front tyres have full width tread depth of 5mm. Advise client to check front tyres in 3-6 months." New tyres have a depth of 8mm and I do less than 8k a year these days. Don't...
