    What readings should I expect?

Yes, I did mean lighting ring. No I can't issue certification - but that's why I'm to leave everything I'm doing exposed for the Building Controls inspections.

    What readings should I expect?

Yes, yes... deffo have to strip it all out - I've started in the loft now - there are wires running in all directions from the previous rewiring & older wires still up there - taking some time to identify what cables NOT involved with upstairs lighting is doing there. While I'm in the loft -...

I'm rewiring some stretches of this house I'm remodeling [ 1 & 1.5mm on some of the socket ring, nail and rodent damage etc ]. Client has asked me to lift as few floorboards as is possible - but I want to clip cable to joists upstairs and down - would it be considered to be acceptable if I...

    Know any decent leccy showers?

On 1 hand price isn't too much of an issue - but not silly money for 'designer looks'. Looking at various specs, you can go to approx 10.5kw, which should indicate heating ability & therefore maximum flow rate at a reasonable temperature.... Kinda wondering how those like Mira Sport are able...

    Know any decent leccy showers?

Hey Folks! Never really sure if asking for 'recommendations' on different commercial products is PC or not? Sure a Mod' will ditch this if not.... Have a potential client looking to replace their electric shower for an up-to-date model with a bit more 'woof'.... So.... any thoughts on...

Got a buzz from a water pipe......

In this case, I beg to differ. If, in the experience of the Connector of this meter to this ELCB, they considered it to be useless in this environment, based upon their professional opinion or not, then it could be reasonably assumed that if connected to the mains supply, the user of the...

Got a buzz from a water pipe......

I suppose 'Duty of care', which stands up everywhere else, doesn't here? [ Whole new can of worms... maybe not a good idea to go there ]

Got a buzz from a water pipe......

Sorry, I was referring to the ELCB - given the meter is recent, I was kinda assuming the out-of-date ness, would have been sorted when it [the meter] was put in. Yeah, start from scratch -

Got a buzz from a water pipe......

Hmmmm! The meter can't be that old - you'd think the leccy board would have condemned it if obsolete - then again, if the guy was to just put a meter in.... I'm going to say 'yes' but have no clue what MET is - will look it up! The board on the right is for economy 7 - Storage heaters -...

Got a buzz from a water pipe......

A few more as promised... The cut wires on the non-tripping trip - wondering what they connected to. With 3 or 4 sockets on surface mounted extensions - originates plugged into a socket in the same room. Yet, with all this spaghetti, why all the extensions? Heh! Ah well...... step...
