No plastic, got a metal cap that the cable from the switch goes into and it has an earth wire bolted on to it with no obvious way of getting it off, unless the nut that keeps the earth strap on also retains the metal cover??

Disconnected the frost stat and tried it again, still no gas and cant find any reset buttons or switches. I have power into the gas valve and pilot light is on, is it safe to assume its a dodgy gas valve?.......

it worked for a week no problem, what could be the problem with flushing the system then a week later boiler doesn't fire up?
