    Reasons to get out

Seems German voters are concerned about immigration.. So at least gasbanni is not alone in his concerns. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35801991

There's a big discrepancy regarding immigration.

Just the same as you believed the government website about immigration figures.. They both can't be correct. As I've already pointed out, the .gov NINO website shows figures for people from EU countries and people from non EU countries (as opposed to all NINO's issued to everyone including...

Turkey please help us stop the migrant crisis.....

First of all, these Turks will have a visa from the EU, allowing the freedom to move through the EU (yep we're still part of the EU) Or do you think Merkel, Junkers etc, are just going to give them visas allowing only travel on mainland Europe? "We control our borders, (well in a fashion) "...

    Trade with EU

JohnD , you're becoming tiresome and repetitive. I asked the original question... Can you tell me where he got his figures from? What research depends on conjecture? So please answer my question first,, Thanks (or is it too much to ask? )

    Trade with EU

JohnD I did read the article, It's full of conjecture. " The UK may get this," It might well get a better agreement than Lord Rose proposes. He goes on to "predict" that any break up with the EU will be "acrimonious" (without stating why) So it's only his conjecture.. Anyway, he's a Lord, so...

Turkey please help us stop the migrant crisis.....

Not quite Himmy. The EU are prepared to grant Turks the freedom to travel throughout Europe without visas in a few months. Nothing to do with Turkey joining the EU http://www.spectator.co.uk/2016/03/turkey-is-blackmailing-the-eu/ . I wonder how many will land on our shores ??

There's a big discrepancy regarding immigration.

I mentioned this over a week ago . Himmy jumped right in saying the difference between NINO applications and immigration statistics was down to "children leaving school" and "People already here who'd never applied for a NINO" I replied stating that the official NINO, statistics were purely for...

Hey Amir I got in to England illegally it was worth it !!!!

Hmmm ,, that'll be why thousands are stuck at Calais then. Because they weren't encouraged to make their way to the channel. They just thought they'd make for the UK and sod the benefits they could have claimed in Greece, Austria, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy etc, etc. Yeah, they'd sooner...

Hey Amir I got in to England illegally it was worth it !!!!

Himmy, your obviously blind mate. Have a search on your braille internet. Feel your way around with your fingertips. Get your guide dog to relate to you the visions we see on the tv , on youtube etc. Look at these "refugees" Do they have Nokia bricks, which can only make calls and send texts...

Hey Amir I got in to England illegally it was worth it !!!!

JohnD, why do these people then complain about the lack of internet access first? before complaining about the food, complaining about the cold? What's more important to you? A roof over your head, food in your stomach, warm clothing or internet access ? If , as we're led to believe that...

The real problem with the EU is whose in control.

I'm only doing what you do, and get slated for it .. Sheesh :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hey Amir I got in to England illegally it was worth it !!!!

Surely this is proof that the EU can't control it's own borders? Once these "refugees" enter the EU, there does seem to be a large amount who are shepherded through Europe towards the channel ports. It's obvious Greece doesn't want them, Austria doesn't want them, Italy doesn't want them...

Hey Amir I got in to England illegally it was worth it !!!!

Hmmmm well for starters, your on here , fighting their little corner. I'm sure there's thousands of solicitors/ barristers out there, making a fortune, fighting their corner. What's "basic communication" anyway? I'd have thought "basic communication" would probably be a phone call. Do you...

The real problem with the EU is whose in control.

By the same token Himmy, All you have posted is speculative ideas of what the UK would be like following a Brexit. We simply don't know. No one knows. Anything any of us says can only be speculation. Yet you are prepared to argue every point someone arguing for an Brexit makes, saying it's only...

The real problem with the EU is whose in control.

I've not even broached the subject of Scottish independence .. I honestly don't care about UK control in the EU (you mentioned that) I'm more bothered about the EU control in the UK. So it seems your still wriggling and trying to cloud the issues.

    Learner drivers

I personally think there's a need to set up "driver training centres" perhaps on disused airfields, Set up as real roads complete with traffic etc, so learner drivers can at least, get "up to speed" with conditions they'll meet out on our roads, before they are allowed to drive on public roads...

The real problem with the EU is whose in control.

I thought the thread title was "The real problem with the EU is who's in control?" Surely this article directly relates to "who's in control"? So what do you reckon the point is about?
