is there a gap between the plaster board and brick, you might be able to fish it through? Otherwise chase it out to the brick and cap over with some galv steel cladding of pvc and plaster over.

what changing fuses for mcb's or the consumer unit ?

Im in a bit of a quandary as which to fit. Im thinking I'd rather have a thermostatic mixer shower but Im not sure if I have enough water presure for it work correctly or not. The makers seem to quote Bar pressure but I dont know how much I have, all I do know is that I can fill 18 litres...

ok, so ive got some large oblong tiles for the bath room, i quite like the brickwork way of tiling a wall rather than the conventional way, is it much harder and is there any drawbacks ? Ta.

cheers, so the tails to the consumer unit, could that go to an existing space on the normal bus bar and fitted with a 45 amp cartridge fuse ? PS about the seal bit, if someone else had cut it b4 i moved in, would the leccy board come and refit it for free ?

the problem you might have is if you do take him to court he may just pull theplug and you'll be last in the line with the receivers and probably wont get anything. Anyway they have probably done you a favour, horrid, dangerous, noisey things !

there is new legislation coming into force that allows use of this type of device.

thanks for the replies! The wall depath is only about 1"and half so I dont know if I'd fit a compression fitting in to the wall cavity and it would be harder to make the end off. Why are compression fittings better ?
