Ok, I must be daft. I could not find anything about secondary heat exchangers in the FAQs. I do see a DHW heat exchanger in the installation guide - Vaillant part no 06 4950 I suppose I could replace this - but i'm assuming there is a way to flush it? Can it be done without removing it...

Hello. I have a Vailliant Turbomax 282E which is exhibiting some strange behaviour with regard to Hot Water supply. Central heating appears to be fine, but when DHW comes on, it comes on for about 20 seconds - then slowly the burner starts getting lower and lower until it is switched off...

Ok, this has been resolved. For future reference, here is how it was fixed. A bit of research on this forum and elsewhere led me to believe this was a pressure differential switch issue. So I bit the bullet and ordered one from here for under 30 quid delivered...

I've got a replacement differential switch now. Is it really necessary to drain the whole CH system down? I see there are two tubes which fit into the back - I assume these just press in and stay there - there are no threads or anything else I can see.

I have a similar problem on a TurboMAX 282 Peter, did you notice that the light flashed even when there was no deman for CH or HW? If I switch mine off, and wait almost exactly 5 minutes - I get the flashing light. If so I might give the pressure differential switch a go! Aris

Which is the pump flow switch? You mean the little microswitch on the diverter valve?
