Vaillant Turbomax 282E hot water cycling

Thanks for the feedback Mickyg. You say there are two for that boiler - do they both have the same part number? The 282/1E installation guide gives it as part number 06-4950 - and I have found this on various online parts retailers - it costs about 90 quid with shipping. Can anyone...

Vaillant Turbomax 282E hot water cycling

Haha - no worries. I did some googling and found some info on another site. Looking at the DHW heat exchanger, it is pretty simple to get to (probably the simplest thing in the boiler) and not so bad to replace - but I do need to drain the system down which is a bit of a bother. Is there...

Vaillant Turbomax 282E hot water cycling

Ok, I must be daft. I could not find anything about secondary heat exchangers in the FAQs. I do see a DHW heat exchanger in the installation guide - Vaillant part no 06 4950 I suppose I could replace this - but i'm assuming there is a way to flush it? Can it be done without removing it...

Vaillant Turbomax 282E hot water cycling

Forgive my ignorance, but I checked all the faq's in this sub-section and did not see anything that might be relevant. Perhaps i'm looking for the wrong thing? Could you point me in the right direction? Many thanks,

Vaillant Turbomax 282E hot water cycling

Hello. I have a Vailliant Turbomax 282E which is exhibiting some strange behaviour with regard to Hot Water supply. Central heating appears to be fine, but when DHW comes on, it comes on for about 20 seconds - then slowly the burner starts getting lower and lower until it is switched off...

Vaillant TurboMax 282 - Flashing Ignition Indicator

Ok, this has been resolved. For future reference, here is how it was fixed. A bit of research on this forum and elsewhere led me to believe this was a pressure differential switch issue. So I bit the bullet and ordered one from here for under 30 quid delivered...

Vaillant Tuebomax VUW GB 242 /1E

I've got a replacement differential switch now. Is it really necessary to drain the whole CH system down? I see there are two tubes which fit into the back - I assume these just press in and stay there - there are no threads or anything else I can see.

I have a similar problem on a TurboMAX 282 Peter, did you notice that the light flashed even when there was no deman for CH or HW? If I switch mine off, and wait almost exactly 5 minutes - I get the flashing light. If so I might give the pressure differential switch a go! Aris

Vaillant TurboMax 282 - Flashing Ignition Indicator

Bump, I'm still having this problem - though now it appears to be somewhat worse - perhaps the symptoms may jog someones memory: So being winter, both HW and CH are enabled - but what I find is that the ignition indicator light flashes - but even if there is no CH or HW activity...

Vaillant TurboMax 282 - Flashing Ignition Indicator

Which is the pump flow switch? You mean the little microswitch on the diverter valve?

Vaillant TurboMax 282 - Flashing Ignition Indicator

My idnition indicator (yellow, two triangles on top of each other) flashes intermittently. It seems to be worse when I have the CH on - so i'm thinking it may have something to do with the divertor valve or the little microswitch on it? The servicing guide I have says that if this is...
