So, we're all in it together?

Page 60 Well done to Ellal, I read about two pages and had to put my head in a bucket of cold water  Probably why they write it in lawyer speak so ordinary bods won't understand it :(

    Toilet to Soil pipe problem

If you removed all the rest of the 'boxing' could you rotate the exsisting cast bend (with jobby inspection hatch) to a more suitable angle. Not sure what its sealed with but if it was flexible (not hard setting) it would be an easy fix.

Fiesta 1.4 Tdci 04 reg Clutch Operating Concern

Bit of a puzzler that one. The connection from the clutch pedal to the master cylinder seems to be a simple rod attached to the pedal. Have a look at this, is there any way it could be poping off, any nuts missing etc? The only time I've seen anything vaguely similar was when I had a clutch...

    Shed Base Question

A friend of mine slabbed my driveway last year. He does a lot of slabbing. What he does is mix some cement in with the sand and lays the slabs on the dry mix. Presumably the moisture in the ground sets off the cement sand mix. Drive hasn't heaved even with the heavy winter.

    Cleaning alternator...

Sorry mate, didn't have a cylinder head shape in PowerPoint  The valve stays put as John says. The spring compresses in relation to the valve to allow the removal of the collets. Look carefully at the dotted lines in the drawing. Once the valve spring is compressed you will see the...

    Cleaning alternator...

Link not working, but I think I know which one your talking about. It will only work where the springs sit proud of the head. It may not open wide enough to acomodate the modification required to reach your valves. Do you know anyone you could borrow the right one from? If not you may have to...

    punto gearbox problem

Gearbox will have to come off anyway to check the clutch. If it turns out the clutch is ok then its the gearbox and half the jobs done. Not the end of the world, you could probably get a good serviceable second hand gearbox from a salvage yard. TTFN

    Cleaning alternator...

Once spring is compressed fish out the collets and release spring compressor. Remove valve cap and spring. Store the springs as you take them out. Not sure about this engine but some the springs have to be fitted the right way up. Also again not sure about this one but some alloy heads have a...

Which Haynes manual for Vauxhall Combo

Just a guess, but perhaps the suspension and brakes would be different, more heavy duty for the van compared to the Corsa?

    Cleaning alternator...

Have you got a set of torx sockets? I have on many ocasion used them to extract rusted cap screws. Pick one slightly larger than the rounded cap screw and tap it in with a hammer. It will cut into the damaged head and give you another go at slackening it off. As for the cam sprocket, try...
