doitall - yes I do have a multimeter and the readings are: With HW and CH both turned off on the programmer there is 240v on the grey wire and no voltage on grey or white. I have then turned CH on only on the programmer and the room stat right up to max, the valve has moved to the CH only...

Can you see it making any difference that the Room Stat is a Sunvic Digital one meaning it only has two wires connected to it so it is not giving out the correct voltages.

I was at first thinking along the same lines as you but when the second electrician looked at the wiring and tested he confirmed that there was 240v to the boiler when HW was running and when CH was running independantly. There is only one live feed to the boiler that is live no matter...

    H/W and H/W with C/H together but NO C/H ON IT'S OWN - HELP!

The boiler and pump are indeed connected to the orange wire. As I mentioned a qualified electrician has had a look and traced/tested all the wiring and it is as per Y-Plan. I will bleed everything again, am I right to assume that if there was no return on the heating side there would be no...

Thanks doitall and Mandate, All the wires are connected correctly as you suggest and to the Y-Plan diagram. I have today had an electrician test all the voltages and I am getting 240v at all points and even getting 240v to the Boiler live feed when in CH only mode or HW/CH and the HW...

I have a multimeter so can test the values on each wire if that will give more of a clue to the issue, really want to get it resolved and working. When the valve is in Heating only mode the Live feed to the boiler is Live (again tested with Mains Tester neon screwdriver but not tested...
