Here's the output I think it's the right setting without button pressed. When it's pressed the reading goes up and down so didn't take a pic of that. Unless I have the setting wrong on multi meter?
Yes that works thanks! The second chime does a full ding dong but the original does less of a ding dong. So does this mean I need a more powerful transformer?
I've tried 0 and 3 initially so that activates the original ding and half dings the new one. This is without a button push. And the ding stays on the original and doesn't dong until it's disconnected.
Here is a pic. It's the same reading on both chimes. When the button is pressed down, the reading drops to 0 and then back up to 15 when button is released.
I just pressed the button as normal only the original chime sounded. I have a volt meter I'll get it out tomorrow and give it another bash. I'll measure both voltages
ok thanks, what i may do is borrow my dads chime and see if that works as a 2nd chime on mine. then i will know if i need a new transformer as well as a new chime.
