    Kies app for Samsung

1st thing - uninstall the cack that is Kies  you will not regret it. Connect to your pc via usb and browse your files via explorer - so much easier. However, if you really want to use it try this link and see how you get on. How to use Kies 2.0 Homer

New mobile Samsung galaxy y difficulties

I don't have a Samsung - just a plain old htc ........ but with Gmail. Open Gmail - Menu - More - Settings - Account Settings - ***@gmail.com Scroll down through the options until you see 'synch inboxes and labels' Once in there you should have the option to synch [or not to synch]...

    Laminate damproof - bin bags!!

That is the way I'm going to do it - thanks. I will take the bottom decor covers off each appliance once I have them on plywood and run the laminate a couple of inches under each. [may need to allow an extra cut to accomadate the front two feet]. With the decor panels back on I hope the...

    Laminate damproof - bin bags!!

Thanks Luke, I'll get the membrane tomorrow - it is going to be the least of my worries :( Went over today to start clearing the kitchen and soon saw major difficulties for my level of skill. The washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer all protrude from under the worktop and...

    Laminate damproof - bin bags!!

Levelled my m-i-l concrete floor a few years ago and laid vinyl planks - have lasted well, but she now wants click laminate. Went off to B&Q yesterday to get her pensioner discount and came back with the flooring [her neighbour went with her]. Flooring + correct underlay is there - but no...

    Samsung Galaxy S

May be better off in the long run [for peace of mind] to sell it on a site like mazuma or envirofone. Envirofone are offering £130 for your Galaxy S - at least that way it's off your hands and no 'warranty' squabbles with your sons mate at any stage. I cracked my Galaxy S screen beyond...

    Hoover Vacuum Cleaner question

Sir Echo - did you solve your issue? Very similar to my m-i-l Hoover the One. No blockage - all tubing/cabling removed - still the same - speeds up then slows down loop. Fitted a new cable with a terminal block as close to the rear entry point as I could - made no difference. Don't...

    HTC Desire screen part number

Hope you are right m8 - a bitch of a job to do if it's both  http://tjworld.net/blog/htc-desire-tear-down If that is too daunting there are several repairers out there - not cheap though [especially if uninsured like me  ] http://www.htcphonerepairs.co.uk/HTC-Desire-S...

    HTC Desire screen part number

How did you get on? Need to replace my Galaxy S lcd and was told not to even try to separate the digitizer from the screen. [£15 for glass as opposed to £90 for both together]. The digitizer is so well glued to the glass that it may be 'safer' to replace both - at a cost  Homer

    netbook graphics

May also be worth a look over at the Aspire One Users Forum and putting your query on there. I've been resurecting my neice's AOA110 netbook with Tiny XP and an upgrade to 1.5GB of memory - what a stripdown to access the memory slot that is!! Tried it with Tiny 7, but it was way to slow -...

Raise temp of cold water tank

Thanks for the replies. CWT barely a metre above shower heads, so, it looks like new showers and an inline pump will be on the budget for proper winter showers. Thanks again for your help. Regards Homer

Raise temp of cold water tank

Sorry for the [mis]information guys  Just went into the loft to check the pipework properly. Mira 10.5kw showers - one in the ensuite, the other in the main bathroom. Both are mains fed - I was convinced they were fed off the cwt. Hot water cylinder in airing cupboard upstairs...

Raise temp of cold water tank

That's all I want - stick a heating option in that could run off a timer to "lift" the temp just enough to give 2 good showers in the morning. The blender valve also looks promising - the shower is built in, the only cold feed is from the loft - would it go up there? Homer

Raise temp of cold water tank

As I said, the experts will no doubt be shaking their heads at my question  Only realistic option then is to change to power showers/pumped system from hot water tank to safeguard my health  Cheers Homer
