eh, my point is even if u gave me a top or the range condencing boiler i would not fit it in my house i have no boubt they will get better but most are gona cost serious money

is your boiler a conventional (not a combi)?

has the boiler always done this?

has every rad been vented?

i doubt u would have one, would be sitting on top of a pipe pointing upwards, its air mate, just keep venting and venting and soon the boler wont keep switching off, air is a reall buger in some systems

or you could just let him do some more services

well the cold water being run should not effect the boiler in any way whats so ever, its really not possible

so the boiler must fire up, then hit tempreture quick and turn off? the boiler does fire up dosent it? piolet is on etc if you are still getting air out of the rads then keep bleeding even if it takes hours, every rad need water to be full, that includes any extra vents in the airing cupboard...

kev, i also have heard about not being allowed to install anything other than a condencing boiler after like 2008, dont think they have set a date for it, do u know of 1? soon as this law comes in, we got 5 years tops before lots of unhappy people are going to be phoning up complaining there...

if its a programmers built into the boiler u could go into a local hrpc, they should be able to help, other option would be to have a clock fitted externally for it

i dont rate power flushing, not at all, if the system is clean like it should be and well maintained, it will never need it, some combis have small parts that get blocked easy, like dhw heat exchangers, so if someone does powerflush they really want to drain every bit of muck properly...

im a bit confused, u said when u flush the toilet, does that mean is doing it when your running cold water and not hot water?

have u replaced the whole valve and not just the head? if not was the valve able to move freely

so the heating and hot water works fine and does get up tempreture? what boiler do u have, make and model

i got a 25+ year old glow worm space saver, it don't save space because its huge, and i get a bit of popping and banging from the heat exchanger, but still i would't swap it till the day it dies, sod saving gas when it dont ever break some old boilers were built to last :lol:
