How to stop the missus killing my broadband...

Ho-ho... 8) Secure spark - the network cables are run between the floor & ceiling (clipped to the joists and run directly through holes drilled in them) plus the floor is laminate so can't be a nipped cable.... They run close to the power cables but not that close as I tried to keep some...

Not sure if this should be in electrics, telephones or computer hardware so bear with me. When we moved into the house we had the whole place rewired - pretty standard rewire, separate upstairs & downstairs rings, radial for the cooker, one for the shed, blah-blah-blah. Because I was...

taking the stairs & landing back to bare boards

For reasons of our dog being a bit mental sometimes and chewing the stair carpet (usually while we're out - this time she narrowly avoided getting a blocked intestine due to ingested carpet), myself & Mrs "Numpty" have decided to remove the carpet and go with something different. The rest of...

    Solar panel heating Help!

bog standard domestic solar panels will only produce something around 12-24 volts. So unless you are prepared to use a 3-4000 watt inverter and a couple of massive deep cycle batteries and wire it up to that then you'll not get enough voltage or current to get a standard imersion element doing...
