hmmm maybe its not oil then ? I think it had 2 or 3 coats at the beginning (on top only) and nothing underneath The thing is the sink was put in before anything was applied to the worktop, so I can't really see how a watertight seal was possible

Hi Am in a bit of a panic about our new kitchen (3 months old) .... We have oiled oak worktops and around the sink there are black marks developing - Also it looks as though the worktop is warping Does it sound like its not been fitted right ? Any advice gratefully received Thanks
