    Three upstairs radiators not heating

What system do you have? Is your pump running correctly? Have you bled your rads? Try turning off all rads that are working and leave the affected rads on, do they heat up? What type of motorised valve do u have? 2 2 ports or a 3 port? Might be worth calling in a Corgi heating...

    Ideal Elan

Can anyone help with a little problem I have? We have a customer in desperate need of an Ideal Elan 80f heat exchanger. Unfortunately Ideal do not stock this anymore and I wondered if anyone knew of one anywhere? G.c 41-415-60 part number 131738 The obvious question I hear you asking is...

Ideal Response 120... leaking pressure vessel.

Give the office a call and get them to book a call in, we cover most areas and I believe we have the exp. vessels in stock. If I remember rightly you need about 150mm clearance on the right side of the boiler, they def. come out the side. Office hours 08:00-22:30.

Ideal Response 120... leaking pressure vessel.

Cheeky I can definetly assure you that the expansion vessel can be removed from the right hand side of the boiler, the side panel will come off as will the top securing lugs. I have changed plenty of them on the Response 120 this way.

Ideal Response 120... leaking pressure vessel.

What clearance do you have at the right hand side? it is possible to remove them from either top or side. A 15mm plug will blank the boiler connection and an external 9 litre vessel can be fitted, a last resort though.

    Fitting TRV\\\'s

You need to get a rad spanner, fits inside the part you need to remove and unscrews, looks like a large allen key.

    no c/h...no h/w

I would expect you will not get any advice here except for call in a corgi registered engineer asap to check your boiler. 1.you have said you replaced the gas valve 2. you make no mention whether you are competent 3. you make no mention as to how you checked for soundness 4. you make...

    Ideal Classic NF 40

ok, I have done a little research for you and I am guessing that you have an older design of Classic boiler. Your overheat reset button should be positioned just above the air pressure switch( a plastic device with 2 tubes attached). Look for a small red button just above. You may need to...

    Ideal Classic NF 40

Yes if boiler fired with system full of air it may well have gone to overheat, which was why I was asking you to press overheat reset button.

    Tapping noise in CH pipes

Could be expansion noises in the pipe as it heats up, are the pipes secured correctly? i.e. clipped and not swaying in the breeze.

    Combi Boilers

That is a vast amount of info you require, I presume you are a registered corgi engineer? Best get on some manufacturers training courses, I doubt you will find a site that gives info on all boilers but using a mutimeter/manometer and some logical fault finding is paramount. If you quote...

Boiler won't fire without a power reset

He He how did I guess that, chances are it needs a good service. Oxide builds up in the heat exchanger and affects the ignition/detection probes. The boiler has 1 ignition attempt then locks out, in the morning when the blr has been off it will struggle to light due to damp electrodes. There...

Boiler won't fire without a power reset

Boiler wouldn't be an Ideal Minimiser by any chance?

Loud Thump when Boiler First Ignites Only

Best get it serviced, could be burner pressure or debris in burner. There is an upgrade for the Classic Rs range to overcome flame lift problems, how old is the boiler?

    Ideal Classic NF 40

Look to the right of the on/off button, around the side of the pcb module, a small red elongated thing sticking out, push it and see if boiler kicks back to life.

    Ideal Classic NF 40

Try the obvious first, open flap on front of boiler and make sure black on/off switch is on, turn up t/stat knob to 6, try the overheat reset button ( a small red button situated on right hand side of pod behind front flap). If pump running then system calling for heat, does the fan run?, if...

Combi Boiler, no hot water or heat in radiators

Firstly pressure at 3 bar is not a good idea, chances are that the safety valve will open if boilers fires up and likely to leak after. It may be an idea to get a corgi heating engineer in to rectify, can u hear the fan/pump running or is the boiler totally idle? Fault could lie...

    Thermocouple

Sounds like your sister needs to get a decent engineer in, may just need servicing. Definetly don't think so much has failed at same time on one boiler. Good luck

Yet another combi problem: CH but no hot water?

I would suspect the dhw flowswitch, the c80 has 2 1 is used as a pump proving/chtg switch and the other for dhw. You need to contact a corgi reg engineer to diagnose the fault. The C80 is a badged biasi boiler and uses some very interesting logic in its 2 pcbs. www.boiler-diagnostics.co.uk...
