Errm, how have you taken the gas supply to the garage? I note you have an interesting set up at home? You have a chaffoteaux water heater, a ravenheat combi and a Vaillant combi that have all had problems in your house? You wouldn't be working on gas without your acs/corgi would you?

Email me and I will give you a definitive test to do. I cant post it on here because it involves a definate safety component on your boiler. (see my profile).

Remove the switch again, see if any more muck has got in the switch/manifold. If that is clear and the low pressure neon is still on then a new water pressure switch is needed. Have you got a multi meter? If so check for continuity across the switch while the boiler is pressurised.

Ignition failure? Flame detection? Has the boiler had a service? If not that might be a good place to start.

Sounds like the pipe to the water pressure switch is full of crud. Remove the water pressure switch, get a small device (I normally use a small allen key) and push it into the hole where the pressure switch fits. You will probably find hard encrusted crud blocking it. Refit switch, refill...

Water pressure switch is defective. Either very slight leak from centre dripping onto live wire to overheat stat or internal leak into switching. Either way needs replacing with new version.

Pump would take out the 2af on pcb 40. Fan would take out the 4af fuse on pcb 40.

I can use my extra sense and say your boiler is an Ideal Response Combi? I bet it also trips the electrics as soon as you turn the power button on?

The fan assy is not difficult to replace if you have the correct tools/test equipment. Removal of the venturi, gas/air sensing pipes would need to be done, replacement o rings/venturi seal more than likely. Don't attempt it, be safe and get someone in!.
