had the same problem in my house - the gaps ranged from around 2mm to 1.5cm.....and some of the boards no longer actually reached the wall....... we stuck on...... errr..... i think they call it 'beading' or something.... a 1/4 rounded pole..... errr..... bit like a broom handle sliced into 4...

well i managed to get it all in though i did have a few problems.... a. putting the clamps on the bottom of the sink to attach to the worksurface - what is the point of that then - i had a gap of around 2 mm between the sink and the W/S so i tighten up the clamps... what do they do? scrape...

one thing to remember when hanging doors is don't prep your door in a slightly damp environment - because when you hang it the 2mm gap between the door and the frame becomes 6mm+ when it's been hung for a while :oops: ..... lesson learnt - lol

yep done that - water resistant varnish as i had some spare, reckon it'll do the same job.... liking the idea of 'putty tape' will check with 'b & big long que' tonight to see what they got :O) cheers all

hey dave12 we're doing the same - were suppose to have the cap removed and a new pot put on on monday..... they didn't turn up so no real fire for us this christmas :O( anyway you shouldn't need planning permission to open the flu and put a pot on. As for the plasterboard thing i haven't...

morning all very quick question.... when fitting a sink into a kitchen worktop should there be a 'special' rubber seal between the sink and the top or is a flexible grout good enough?? cheers and merry christmas :O)

don't know if this is any use to you but i've used an ordinary flat scraper to push a whole section of a carpet down before - you can't whack it with real force or you'll damage the carpet but kicking/dragging the carpet towards/over the grippers and using the scraper worked for me and you canna...
