    Cupboard Ideas/Help

Superdon, sliding doors could well be an option with a custom depth carcass to fit the w/c and tumble dryer etc inside (providing you can vent the excess heat out!) or just build frame work at the end to act as an end panel. I have noticed that your ceilings look pitched ..? Im yet to come...

    Replace wardrobe door glass

@kruetz - Do you have a clearer photo? Sorry, but this picture makes it hard to see the problem (or maybe it's my poor sight! ). :) We sell custom made sliding wardrobe doors, and have seen similar design to yours with one of our suppliers. Have you looked for the manufacturer who made...

Matt over silk - is it always a bad idea?

Sorry guys, ignore my part about the PVA. After looking at my answer, I can see where I went wrong! Took advice from an apparent 'expert' about this, and yep you guessed, made a complete fool out of me. @krismusic - you're right, Zinsser would be better for the walls than PVA.

Matt over silk - is it always a bad idea?

My advice would be to sadly remove all the silk paint THEN paint the walls with matte. Another alternative would be to paint over the silk paint with some PVA, then proceed with the matte. Hope the other room is staying well (the one you mentioned before).

    247 Car spares SCAM

@masona - more and more companies are stopping payments from happening over the phone - probably due to scams like these. Even the smartest person can be convinced by these conmen. I would suggest only using numbers from a trusted company (and it should be a number you have used in the...

    Childrens play house

Thanks for sharing! I can safely say that if I were to build a playhouse, we would probably end up with a cardboard box with holes for windows :o @Magic, Do you do DIY/Building in your profession? The end result couldn't have looked better.

    Which Kitchen Floor, ideas please

This is going to sound like the dumbest reply, but first check out how laminated (or shiny) the tiles are. I don't know how to explain this, but I had trouble with matte surfaces when it came to cleaning them - I think it's because there's more friction etc with them. Anyway if you don't get...

Help! ive just painted walls with gloss and not matt

Sorry mate, but it's gonna be hard painting the matte over the fresh coat of gloss. Use an oil-based overcoat first, then paint over with matte - haven't tried it before just so you know, but it seems pretty logical :) Don't worry, we've all had DIY disasters before, I nearly hammered...

    Kitchen splashback...?

First of all as a short term solution, I would suggest when you place the splashbacks over the tiles MAKE SURE you completely expel any air between the tiles and splashack. TBH it would be best if you took out the tiles completely, it's going to be difficult to seal the splashback otherwise...
