    You didnt explain yourself very well then as you said you were applying for a job. If you are really that unsure and are attending college, take those questions to your college tutor and he can explain them properly to your face, much better than asking online.

    The point of these mock exams are to prove you are up to the job they are offering, by getting the answers you want off here is making you look like you are up to the job, but really you might not be. Plus i would enquire about an english course while you are at college, just saying.

    Do not use a compression fitting if you are going to tile over it, you can get a 22x3/4 end feed coupling, soldering is much safer.

    Measure the pipe, it may be 1 1/4" pipe used for W.H basins, it should be 1 1/2 for a bath, 1 1/4" is unsuitable for a bath and should be replaced.

    flushing pin dropped into the cistern. can I get it out?

    Agree with hertz just put hand under the body and push the syphon up which pushes the pin back up through the hole.

    Shower pump advice

    If you are going to pump your hot and cold from the cistern in the loft make sure that the outlet for the hot to the cylinder is above the cold outlet to the pump so if the water level in the cistern drops too low the hot water cuts out first preventing scalding in the shower.

    Any thoughts on it being nothing to do with the drains but maybe more to do with the junk shes piling up in her house, rotting food.. most hoarders usually have about 40 cats ? are your loft spaces connected or anyway smells can be transfering through walls or underfloor spaces ?

    There are no requirements for qualification to work on water unlike gas and electric, as you say though you should be competent... especially if youre in somebody elses house.

    you just need a 1/2" screw on blank, if you cant get hold of one of them a standard 1/2" compression nut, a 5 pence coin inside the nut and then a 1/2" fibre washer works just as well.

    Doesnt sound like your taps are suitable for a low pressure system if you are on a cylinder, change them for low pressure taps.

    No not neccesserily it is just a circulating pump, it just ticks over to slowly circulate the water around the system to stop long deadlegs of pipe full of cold water, it circulates the hot water around the pipes so you get instant hot water when a tap is opened, you need a shower pump to get a...
