    Shower Tray

I am refitting an en-suite shower room. I have an alcove (i.e. enclosed on 3 sides) into which I wish to fit a shower tray. The alcove is 800mm wide and 710mm deep. I therefore need a shower tray which is 800mm wide by 700mm deep. My local merchant can supply a stone cast tray of these...

    Finned Radiators

Hi Croydoncorgi, interesting point. I had the boiler changed in September from a 16 year old Potterton to a nice shiny new condensing Worcester Bosch. What's the easiest way of determining whethet the boiler is in full condensing mode or not. There is a 2 digit readout on the front of the...

    Lights will not switch off

Hi Kendor, in answer to your question, yes the garage lights still work when the yellow wire is disconnected. mapj1, the cable into the back of the lights is red and black. The left and right lights have one cable only, the one in the middle has 2, I guess this just means that they are...

    Finned Radiators

Thanks for the responses. Currently all rooms heat up sufficiently, so I guess changing the radiator just because a newer one may be slightly more efficient would be false economy. Where necessary I will rub down and respray existing radiators where they are looking a bit tired. The effect...

    Finned Radiators

I have a total of 20 radiators in my house, 7 of which are finned. The rest are older style ribbed radiators, if you know what I mean? My question is, as we go through the house and redecorate, is it worth replacing the older syle radiators with new finned ones, particularly are the newer...

Hi all, me again. Hope you all had a great Christmas. My problem still persists. In order to answer Kendor's earlier question I removed all three bulbs from their holders and the timer motor still runs. I have dismantled each of the lanterns and their is no obvious sign of any damage inside...

    The lights stay on.

    Lights will not switch off

Not that I know of. We're still fairly new to the house so that's not to say that there isn't another switch

    Lights will not switch off

No, nothing other than removing tiles from a shower room, no electrics involved.

    Lights will not switch off

I've just removed one of the bulbs and the other 2 stayed on. Shall I try any more (a bit more difficult as out of reach)
