    DHW lack of temperature

Your boiler pressure you speak of has nothing to do with your hot water pressure....Thats the pressure inside the sealed heating circuit.... You say the water is very hot elsewhere which points to your shower being faulty...... You could check the filters in the shower (if they were fitted)...

    Fair boiler installation cost?

You were obviously happy with the quote to begin with because you let him carry out the work? I quite often tell my customers the job "may" run into a few days...and i also often bust a gut when i know it has to be done quickly......i would presume a place that has tenants living in it would...

    Power Flush risk?

Nonsense The power flushing unit pumps the water around at the same speed as your boiler would... The difference being the ability to instantly change the water direction at a flick of a switch....this is what dislodges and kicks out the crud.... The only scare warning i give my customers...

Pressure keeps rising on my boiler

Morning Jackie When you added more water to your system did you have to turn 2 small black knobs (for want of a better word) or did you have to use a flat screwdriver. It does sound as though the place where you added more water is still letting the water back in...

I have to ask this which is probaly going to turn out to be a stupid question, but how on earth did the Gas pressure manage to get itself all the way down to 2mb? And how on earth has this boiler worked like this? Instead of re-adjusting said gas pressure i am more inclined to think...

What is it with you people? Are you self employed? Do you know how much it costs in money and time to put yourself through the training and exams to be allowed to be one of these "muppets" who are allowed to play with your boiler? Do you know how much it costs each year to stay...

    hot water too hot

Its probaly the 3 port valve stuck in the open position. When the water in the tank gets up to temp it sends a message to close the 3 port valve to heating only, if its stuck open this wont happen and your hot water will continue to cook....

Power Flushing - is it always worth it?

Has the diaphragm been changed in the DHW diverter valve? If not give it a couple of weeks and you will have no hot water ;-) A power flush will have no effect on your DHW unless you connect as i said in an earlier post
