When the top oven is on, does the full flame shut down before it reaches the correct temperature? - if so, then I think it's the thermostat, but there will be someone along soon who could answer that for sure.
If you are getting the standard flame on start up, prior to the full burn flame, but no automatic flare after that, then it could be the device which initiates that burn, the flame safety device, which the engineer would deal with.
As others have said, with what you have explained your easily capable of doing what a garage will charge you for. You appear to have had servicing done at garages, so they should give you a detailed invoice explaining what they have done, so that would be a basic guide.
The spare is not required under the MOT, but do not put a defective wheel/tyre in as a spare, as that IS inspected because it shows your intention and ability to replace a road-wheel.
Many thanks for the response, the pin at the top has gone. The catch appears fine.
Ah, as I have just found out, the pin is a detachable piece, I can now source one of those, thanks for the attention.
Hi All, I have a Hotpoint TCM570 condensor tumble dryer and need to fit a new inner door panel, as the safety/actuator has broken off.
Having taken all four corner screws out, I can still not separate the inner from the outer and don't want to bend anything.
Is there some sort of internal...
Go to Start / Control Panel / Internet Options / Browsing History / Delete / next item will come up with Browsing History again, hit Delete, that should get rid of some rubbish;
then go to Start / Help and Support / then Tools / left hand side - Disk Clean Up / when done, Defragment

Is the TRV still set for a low temperature when you refit it? Try to set on highest number. If now works, try on different settings. You will need to turn off the system and drain to put a new valve on. You should replace the whole valve, don't try to just get a "top".

Not a plug in device which I would not advise - socketsafe is a lockable cover that puts the plug and switch out of reach, see here
http://www.socketsafe.com/
I am not a professional but I would say never wire two into one plug; you can get multiple sockets.
You can get "cable tidies" to keep all cables off the floor, and if it's a playroom, use socketsafes to keep unwanted fingers off sockets/plugs.
You first said you can hear the sound when in the bathroom, then through the washing machine, now only on the pipe to the outside.
Sound can travel throughout the system, you are using water in your property, whether you realize or not.
Have you shown your husband the evidence of stop cock operation?
Water loss within your property, as suggested here, is your responsibility. It may seem unimportant if you are not paying by meter, but the damage it may be doing somewhere unseen can be horrendous and costly.
