    tried with a plug tester and a lead tester. tested 8 sockets. all very high. at one point during the day i had a low zs of 0.44. then, when i did a final check of everything zs reading was very high again. why i was wondering if the heating system can have an effect on earth loop readings?

    didnt test end to ends to confirm the ring, - the installation is only a 1.5 yrs old. i did strip out all the mcbs on the rcd side of things (including neutrals and earths) and the did a Zs test on the RCCB using the busbar. still had the same problem of a high zs 4.56 (which is leading me to...

    i think it is more than likely that you need to re-wire your junction box (near the cylinder) as the honeywell stats are voltage free.

    basically my zs reading at all sockets is around the 4.56 mark (only on the rcd side of things) the ze is 0.18. the insulation resistance readings between l-n and l-pe are all fine. i dont know why i have such a high zs reading on my sockets???
