    Markings on pavement

The markings are in paint not chalk. This is what made me think they may be genuine. I now feel fairly confident they were made by some local pond life, might ring the council and ask them to make it go away.

    Markings on pavement

The marks appear to be WC and CW. Looks like they have gone over it twice (in all three cases)- its not just a blurry photo!!

    Markings on pavement

Just 'sniffed' for wireless networks using Network Stumbler. I can find 2 when standing on the blue marks. One is mine, the other is not. Both are shown as encrypted using WEP (although I KNOW mine is WPA) I'll have a look into the water supply idea... although the stop cocks are about 2-3...

    Markings on pavement

This is not really a DIY question, but I though this was the right place to find a knowledgable person. Last week the following markings appeared outside my house and the neighbours (both sides of a semi-detached house), and also on the NTL/Virgin cabinet (green box, top photo) outside the...

    Apprenticeships in Leeds

I appreciate that this is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know an electrician in the Leeds area who would be prepared to take on a keen 16 year old apprentice who has passed the Park Lane College assessment? I have posted this on behalf of a friend who I can put you in contact with if...

    House deeds and chickens

I thought the council may be of help as they built the house and owned it until 1976. Spoke to the local housing ALMO - they were very helpful and thought there were some silly point in the deeds that needed changing. However there was nothing they could suggest other than ringing th right...

    House deeds and chickens

Really not sure which forum to post this in - mods please move if this is not the right one. For a while now I have wanted to have 2 or 3 chickens. I would have a coop with run and only let them out when I was around. When browsing the Internet recently someone mentioned that some house deeds...

Using old colour cable - part P

I am in the process of re-fitting my kitchen. Part P notified to the LABC - I am replacing all wiring. I have some unused 10mm2 cable I want to use for the cooker circuit, however it is black/red not new colours. Am I OK to use this or will the LABC guy object?

    Breach of contract?

I feel some guilt as looking back at my instructions they are not as clear as they could have been. On the other hand, this is the first time I have worked with a printer and would have expected them to ask me the right questions and clarify if unsure. They knew I was new to this and was given...

    Breach of contract?

Hi, I am after some friendly advice. I ordered some images from a printer and went to collect them today. Due to the printer misunderstanding my requirements they have printed the wrong images - none of the work is now usable by me. When we met we tried to find a resolution I slowly lost...

    Opening windows jammed

Thanks for your help. I have taken the image you requested along with some of another window with an idential mechanism. Jammed window without handle - not a very good image, but the square pin on the handle engages with the square hole in the window. Neither pin or hole are rounded or...
