    Feeding draw rope into ducting

    Dragging the rope in as you lay the ducting is the best method if the duct is sectional the compressed air method or a cobra rod is the way if it's a continuous duct. Back fill the fill the trench before attempting to put the cable in otherwise it will be a night mare

    i've watched a guy change a 11kv-415v tx live it was interesting! im not sure if any dno is working live on HV cables yet but with the wrapped singles stuff they have started using (name of which escapes me) it is only a matter of time i expect

    the only time i have heard of HV overheads being covered in any form of insultation is on those in corrosive environments but that has nothing to do with insulation its there to prevent damage to the conductors.
