what to do you mean the valve screw pushes against the washer and tighter the more you wind it in as far as i am aware

tightened the adjustment screw up even tighter and seems to have come to a stop!!!!! thanks all!

changed it this morning still drips for a fair few hours, pretty sure it cuts off in the end (as if you hold up the ball valve up) should it really take that long?? thanks
