How can I prep this floor ready for carpet?

No, screeds are new to me. I have had a look at a couple of videos online and they seem to just mix up the self levelling compound, pour it out and then use a trowel to thin it/smooth it. Is it really as simple as that?

How can I prep this floor ready for carpet?

Basically I had somebody (a cowboy) come in and re-lay my concrete floor and the screed had the wrong mix. The photos show what I am left with. [The "trench" in the middle of the first pic I plan to fill with latex screed] I have tried to salvage the situation by applying a watered down PVA mix...

How long should it take to comission a new boiler?

yes true, but if an installer is operating under the WB brand you'd expect them to be reputable. Surely there's an incentive for WB to ensure that their installers have a certain level of service, like answering the phone to a customer for starters? Otherwise it's there brand that's sullied...

How long should it take to comission a new boiler?

Yes I've phoned Worcester Bosch and they advised that there isn't anything they can do and basically fobbed me off with an email address to send in a complaint to. I was hoping they'd be able to give the installer a kick up the behind, but didn't so much as give an apology.
