Looks like a mechanical issue within the Rcd mike.

Sounds like the Rcd is tripping. Rcd needs to be tested in isolation, shower & lighting live & neutrals disconnected(power off), then reset Rcd.

Mike your pic on page3 shows tails connected to top of RCD, look at bottom of pic you can see the neutral lead that goes to the neutral bar. Can you switch the Rcd off/on manually, can you feel the switch latch in the on position. Get the Rcd tested by an electrician.

If its a rewireable fuse(fusewire) can you remove & and see if its blown?.

How is your 2 way Rcd board power supplied, Henley block or from a fuse in existing board?. I know you said he tested and current was on bottom/load side of Rcd, but he doesn`t inspire confidence to me.

Get your mate to test it to see if it is faulty.

No idea what he means by clean it up?. He could test it, to see if it is operating within spec, but seeing as he said there was no power on the load side off rcd(did he disconnect existing load from rcd and then try testing?) maybe its goosed, testing would confirm.

Do you have a tester to check for voltage at the stat?. Has the heating worked since your dad removed the stat from its base for papering?.

Is the fan a new install in bathroom or a replacement?. Normal wiring colours. brown - perm live black(sleeved brown) - switched live grey(sleeved blue) - neutral

If you rule out water pressure, check operating instructions that came with shower(fault finding). Looking at triton info, shower min 1bar max 10bar. Check for continuity across thermal cutout (with power off) its on top of the water tank.

If i was installing downlights in a lounge, i would have each row independently switched, and dimmed if lamps/transformers used. I would fit 3 rows x 4 and if more needed fit after(warm lamps).

What happens if RCD fails and there is no supplementary bonding in place.

Chose warm lamps ,cool to bright.

Solenoid, water pressure as above turn on water.

Push button timer will have a set time for lighting to stay on, motion sensor may have in-built time setting, they should all be wired from the same circuit, i would expect which ever has the longest time setting, to override the other, dependant on when each one detected motion or button pressed.
