DHW not getting over 60 deg

Thanks, I have turned the DHW temperature down a bit, around #4 as any lower and the LED's never get to 60 with the water flowing. With the shower on max the water temp is just about right but I'll play around with it over the next few days now that the incoming water flow has been reduced as...

DHW not getting over 60 deg

It's still showing 60 on the led's. I assumed the boiler thermostat would restrict it to 60?

DHW not getting over 60 deg

I've reduced the flow rate at the boiler and the water temp upstairs is now much better. There wasn't much adjustment on the valve into the boiler before it cut it off altogether but I did manage to reduce it. The flow from the shower is still very fast so I think I'll get one of those Flow...

DHW not getting over 60 deg

Hi, I measured the Hot water at the Bath tap fully open just now and it's 3L per 15 secs so that's 12L per min. Sounds about right give-or-take.

DHW not getting over 60 deg

Hi, I know the Gas pressure is fine as it was tested recently and I assume the water pressure is more than adequate. So is it a feature of all Combis that in winter when the incoming water temperature is lower, say 5 deg, that the DHW will be cooler than in summer on full tap and that the way to...

DHW not getting over 60 deg

Hi, I was aware of the shower alternating Hot & Cold during the winter about 2 years ago so I took the secondary heat exchanger off and gave it a soak with a kettle descaler. I think it made things a bit better as I'd forgotten about it until recently when I noticed the shower isn't all that hot...

DHW not getting over 60 deg

Hi, my Ariston Genus 27 mffi CH Boiler is now 10+ years old, and for a while now I've noticed the upstairs shower is not running as hot as it used to even when there is no other HW being drawn in the house. At first I thought it was due to heat losses of the non insulated 15mm pipe feeding...

Laminate Flooring - to line up or not

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll lay it random as suggested. I've just been reading about QuickStep Hydrokit. It looks to be a clear silicone sealant that they use to seal around the edges of the room, skirting boards etc...

Laminate Flooring - to line up or not

Hi, I've laid quite a few laminate floors in my houses over the years and been happy with the end result. I've always lined up the ends of the boards on every other row. It does cause a bit of waste but that is how I thought it should be done. However I was just chatting to a mate of mine and...

Circular saw blade for Oak worktop

The 184mm blade on my circular saw is many years old and I'm about to start fitting 40mm thick Oak worktops in my kitchen so I thought of buying a new one. I'll be cutting the worktops to length and width. Will this blade be OK ...

    BS7671 Certificate

I guess the average Conveyancing Solicitor wouldn't know what the requirements were back in 2003 so as I have a receipt "to rewire above property" and that Certificate both signed and dated by the same company then I presume that will be sufficient if I sell.

    BS7671 Certificate

Back in 2003 I had an electrical company rewire my house. On completion the proprietor gave me his invoice and an "Electrical Installation Completion Certificate (BS7671:1992)" I've just showed the Cert to an electrician and he's never seen one like that before. The current certificate...
