    Ive been told not to dot'n'dab directly onto external walls (Ive had a problem with damp due to broken gutter, sorted now) without applying a sand & cement course? What are your opinions? Just trying to stick to a tight budget, but want the job doing proper. Advice much appreciated - Jamie.

    Ideally, you could run a SWA 2.5mm to a RCD FCU13A in the shed, then feed your light off that. You could even have a socket if you wanted.

    pvc capping is really only to protect the cable from damage when your plastering over the chase - so its up to you how much faith you have in your plasterer - them trowels can be sharp!

    Why are copper pipes more commonly being replaced with plastic? Is it because pvc is better, or is it just for cost? Are copper pipes better to use?

    Ok, say I had a pair of speakers in three seperate locations. (6 speakers) Is there not a amp that would let me choose which speakers (1,2,3) are in use? And would the speakers have to be in pairs? Say I wanted one in the bathroom, would one not do? Many thanks.
