    Electric Shaver socket in bathroom

I would advise against feeding it off the lights, and the black in the switch will most probably a switch live, not a neutral.

Loft socket - can I take a spur from THIS?

Not sure on the regs on this one but I can't see anything wrong with maybe feeding a small consumer unit from the Shower Circuit.

    Mains Voltage Spot Cable Size?

Agree with RF, the phrase "generally used 1.5 twin" concerns me however. What other cable did you use?

    Fitting neon indicator switch

..or perhaps a double insulated singles cable would be easier, if the installation is in steel conduit.

    advise required

I doubt it, I think you just mean junction boxes, or possibly a transformer, either way I doubt its fused. Have you tested for voltage at the ceiling rose? If you know in which order the lights are fitted, you said the circuit starts at the bathroom and will probably follow logical order...

    Fish Tank...

Yes, but I meant on a typical installation. I imagine there is some sort of regulation as to what timber can be used, and its tensile properties. I may be wrong, can you clarify?

    Fish Tank...

funny enough I was going to buy a parrot the other day. There were 3, one was £100 cash, and the others were £10 over 6 weeks then £40 cash. When I asked why I had to pay for the two in stages, the guy said it was because they were on higher perches. Anyway back to the tank...

    DIMMER SWITCH

Drill the back out of a surface box, and drill the lugs through and thread with a 3.5mm2 threader, use long machine screws to fix it to the original backbox. IMO brass on PVC boxes looks terrible, i'd just chase the wall out.

I like the idea of a wall mounted tank as it includes all the equipment built-in. However it would obviously need fixing to the joists (I'd like to see how long it would last on dry-wall fixings) Main problem is I don't know how strong the joists are and I don't ant to rip a all down to...

Im thinking that a wall mounted tank would be most sensible here, although I still have the problem of fixing it to a studded wall. What you think?

    Fish Tank...

Yes that was what I was thinking. As for storage what I forgot to mention is I was thinking of installing it in an attic, therefore four studded walls, all with plenty of space for storage behind them, not a big issue. Sorry for not clearing it up. Would you reccomend bolting a tank to...

    Fish Tank...

thanks for the hasty reply. I am undecided on the location of the tank as of yet. Storage of any equipment is a problem I will tackle when it comes to it. How often would I require access to this equipment? Also, would it be suitable to have the tank on a studded wall, not a dividing wall...

My wall, like in a dividing wall.

Considering installing a flush tank in my house but I don't really know what is involved. Hope one of you can point me in the right direction. Over to you...
