Ford Focus 2003 air intake breather hose problem

tbh I didnt but then again they've just had over £200 for a MOT new tyre and ball joints which I questioned but "thats the going rate" was the reply i got back. I just don't have the money to be truthful. I can get the whole part for £15 so I'd imagine put a £50 spot on top then VAT.

Ford Focus 2003 air intake breather hose problem

I think he gave an advisory casue the engine races the slows when idle. I thought it was the timing but when I took it back to ask him which pipe it was he said he could see it compress/concertina when the engine was running .,,, I had it off when I lifted the bonnet.

I own a ford focus 2003 and at the MOT one of the advisories was a faulty breather hose on the air intake hose to manifold. The car runs fast/slow when idle. When I asked the garage he pointed out the hose in question , its a T-shaped hose sat just behind the air intake for the manifold .Its...

Mould around silicon on windows in main bedroom

My thoughts exactly , siliconed my windows 3 times with good quality silicone but everytime the mould came back. Like you said " windows are fitted poorly, with inadequate insulation around the frame" was exactly what mine were , thrown in by subbys for the council more than likely on price...

Mould around silicon on windows in main bedroom

well you might be right but in my case the insulation had gone from just below the upstairs cill's all round the windows, It was just as easy to foam it. I know one thing , it cured it and 12 months on not a sign of damp to be seen with no need to leave the windows open all day. Sorry i...

Mould around silicon on windows in main bedroom

Glad you get me drift now :) i chiselled the wood cill away , foamed , cut it level and relayed the trim back on a bed of silicone and some heavy weight all the way along to push it down till it had gone off. As for the sides ? again, cut the foam back, fill up to about 10mm shy of the window...

Mould around silicon on windows in main bedroom

knock the plaster off the wall , only a bit between the window and the wall to expose the cavity, you can see the damp i had in my pics and by filling the cavity between this insulates the plastic and the silicon so so condensation travels.
