I've found dropping the ev pressure to half way between static & dynamic pressure at outlets cures a lot of problem noises. Maybe you need to drop ev pressure a bit lower than 1.5 ?

I had this a few years ago. Megaflo combination valve was totally blocked with resin balls! In this case it cleared quite easily as it was all 22mm pipe from softner to prv!

Measure the distance between the wall and the centre of the soil pipe, and take this to your local plumbers merchant, they should have one. Even Wickes do (or used to do) a modern style wc that could accommodate a drain with the centre about 240mm off the wall.

If the cold water tank is below the en-suite bath & basin outlets then it's negative head. - They are not cheap though so it might be wise to get a plumber to take a look before buying the pump.

If your cold water storage cistern is lower than the attic en-suite outlets you will need a negative head pump. If it's above the en-suite outlets you will need approx 0.7 litres a minute of gravity flow through the outlets to make a positive head pump work, although this varies with different...

You probably just need a new aspirator. Any decent plumbers merchantwill have one - about £12 but you will have to take the cistern off. Best of luck !

Have you tried turning temperature on immersion thermostats up a little? Can you post a photo of cylinder showing how the pipes are configured ?

Sounds like the store is not full. The internal cold fill pipe on these can get blocked, meaning the water in the little tank can't get to the store. Try filling It through the open vent pipe or through the drain off point and see if it will take any water.

Did the installer find out what the pressure/flow rate at peak times was? If all you need is a shower before going to work then you could fit an accumulator if you have the room.

You can put a pump on you incoming main as long as it doesn't pump more than 12lpm. More than that & you need permission from the water board. Give wras a call & they should be able to advise you as to what you cando.

Might be worth cheching if there is a bypass fitted in the system somewhere, that's open too much.

Do the people in your road that had a megaflow installed have the same supply pressure & flow as you do? Take a shower round at their place while running their bath & kitchen taps to see what it's like.
