    Thanks for that, just to confirm. This glide-down timer attached to the boiler only has functionality for the central heating and not the water.

    Just a thought, this timer will work for the boiler. As its a combo boiler, each time I want to use hot water I would have to manually flick the switch to on. I wanted a timer just for the central heating. Would the external timer be a better solution for this?

    Thanks, under the boiler on the right hand side is a little plastic cover, that comes out and there is the wires for fitting the programmer, but no programmer. Will try and buy the programmer that attaches to the wire.

    Unfortunately there is no timer. Just the thermometer dial.

    I have a gloworm boiler which has a dial type thermostat on the wall. Unfortunately it has no timer. I want to replace the existing dial with one that has a timer. Ay ideas how this can be done? Thanks.
