Gradient on the discharge piping from a Saniflo

Thanks for all your help so far guys. I'm still working on getting the gradient closer to 1:100. Also, I've had a thought on building in a servicing option for any sludge/blockage issues if I have to settle for 150. Saniflo seem OK in their specification on having a drain tap fitted at the...

Gradient on the discharge piping from a Saniflo

Thanks Hugh What I'm puzzling over is whether the extra 45% (10mm) diameter permits a more shallow gradient as is allowed with larger diameter pipe such as 150mm soil pipe able to run at 1:150 as opposed to 110mm being specified at 1:80 (or 100 in exceptional circumstances).

Gradient on the discharge piping from a Saniflo

Thanks for all replies so far. I'm lucky in that the original lath & plaster ceiling below the now floored out room has been removed and with be replaced when the pipe run is installed. I'm having to increase the original bore holes made for the 22mm to 38mm through the 6x3" joists which...

Gradient on the discharge piping from a Saniflo

Hi I'm planning to install a sanislim. When I first contacted the company a while back, they just mentioned that I should ensure any 'horizontal' discharge piping had a slight gradient. So, several years ago in preparation for it, I laid in a run of 22mm copper under the floor of another...

    Fitting a wireless room thermostat

Thanks again, D_Hailsham, switching Tempus 4 line to L. All now functioning well; however, had a problem initiating RF despite using all channels. Eventially fired up . Not sure of the reason. I made several replicated changes to the DIP settings, ensuring to press the reset each time. The...

    Fitting a wireless room thermostat

Many thanks for your swift guidance, D_Hailsham. If I've understood correctly, based on my intended circuitry, I now only need to leave the Tempus CH side on constant to achieve a perminant live feed to the Honeywell valve. Ironically, this was the manner in which I deployed the now defunct...

    Fitting a wireless room thermostat

I want to change to a wireless stat as the present hard wired one has failed as well as proving not to be in the best location. The one I'm homing in on is Horstmann's HRFS1. This is not badly priced at £60 and allows daily settings as well as working in 0.5 degrees. Where I'm uncertain...

    Installing a wireless room stat

I presently have a 5/2 electronic stat which enables 4 seperate temperatures to be set across bands of weekdays and weekends that needs replacing due to malfunction. If I move to a wireless version, how do these cause the c/h zone motor valve to operate. For example, is a valve with a...

    Replacing a domestic electronic thermostat

My 25 year old Smiths ERS1 digital electronic stat is playing up and won't trigger the switching to the valve unless the temp is set at 25C. Can anyone suggest a stat with similar features that's simple to wire up. The unit gives 2 on 2 off -5/2 day programmes. I've run it through a Tempus 7...

    Venting inbuilt fridgefreezers

I eventually gave up considering this IKEA product. First Ikea told me it was made by West which its wasn't. After much research I discovered that Electrolux are the manufacturers. They finally told me that the gap required is 50mm. Howver, they were unable to explain how this gap could be...

    Venting inbuilt fridgefreezers

Grateful for expert advice on the venting space necessary at the rear of an inbuilt fridgefreezer. I'm considering IKEA's FBCF228/64. (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90200250/?query=902.002.50) This has the advantage of auto defrosting freezer compartment as well as the fridge...
