    Hot water priority !!

    [uncidently there SHOULD be 2 port valve before the flow to the cylinder if there isn't the installation isn't correct. You cannot install an unvented cylinder with just a 3 port valve. There has to be the 2 port valve there to cut the source of heat off to the cylinder in case of a fault]...

    S plans are better anyway, greater flow rate, easier to wire, easier to fault find. Don't forget you can get wireless room stats, cyl stats and programmers!

    Boiler overheating?

    Might be just air? Try running the heating with just a couple of the rads on, the pump may be able to shift any air in to them. Also check the isolation valves that are under the boiler on the flow and return pipes are fully open. Make sure your rad (trv's) valves havent stuck in the shut position.

    If your toilet drains when you make an air gap may be you could fit a pan connector with a boss on like this.. http://www.multikwik.com/product/39/130/90-bend-incl-40mm-compression-boss.html then fit a small Air admittance valve on to it like this...
