if your router gives out IP addresses automatically (DHCP) as most do by default then it sounds like you have a wireless comms issue. Are you sure you have the correct wireless setup in the laptop ?

Usually the hard drive is quite easy to physically replace....do you know what to do once you have physically replaced the drive ? Which model laptop and which operating system are you running ? Are you sure you have the required operating system/recovery disk(s) to reload once a new drive...

Do you mean you want to physically connect the antenna to your router ? or do you mean you think the desktop has WiFi in it and you want the desktop to connect wirelessly to your router ?

Are all the machines on the network connected via wireless ? or wired ethernet ? Can you give an example of what you are trying to do on one of the other machines please.

The two IP Addresses should be unique but within the same range. What IP Address and subnet mask does the PC and printer have ? If the printer has an IP Address where has this come from ? did you enter it manually as part of the setup or has your wireless router provided it automatically ?
