    Wet underfloor heating

I would not advise underfloor heating under a parquet floor, or any 'real' wood floor.

Extractor Fan Replacement - Like for Like

There should be three to the transformer, Live, Neutral, Earth, and two to the fan Live, Neutral. Mine also included a light (it was above the shower), and therefore there were four to the fan, two for the light and two for the fan. The only difficulty I had was removing the whole lot...

Troubling cracks in ceiling & walls - Advice please

"From what I’ve read online it seems like the cracks could be a result of shrinkage caused by the change in heating behaviour, though I would welcome advice on any of the issues above." Given 'hairline cracks', I'd tend to agree with the above comment. As for the greasy trails on the...

Extractor Fan Replacement - Like for Like

Yes, I did the same myself a few weeks ago. A straight replacement of an existing part, therefore no issues with part p AFAIK. BUT, if you have any doubts whatsoever, do not do it. Water and Electricity do not mix..... ;-)

Hi, sorry, I was looking for some confirmation that I was on the right track, either that or suggestions of what else might be causing the Pump always on scenario. Regards Graham

Pump staying on, boiler going on and off....

That's the job of the day today...... Check for continuity across the grey/orange when the valve(s) is closed. For info the valves do appear to open and close appropriately. I am currently assuming that a microswitch may be stuck? If I get continuity, I will (on Monday) remove the...

Help required please! (meaning of Troll)

No, a troll is just someone who is trying to create trouble, in short, to wind people up for kicks. As the saying goes, 'don't feed the trolls', better to ignore them.

Pump staying on, boiler going on and off....

Hi Long story ;-) Glowworm Micron 50ff system, and yes I have already changed out the motherboard.... a genuine new replacement, procured at great expense, and it made no difference. :-( Everything is working, timers, thermostats, rads hot when supposed to be, water hot when...
