    The B&Q man is right no reason why you can not paint over silk as long as you key it well.Your problem is the paint the vinyl matt is not durable.Diamond matt or endurance (same thing but retail version) will be your best option

    No it was done under the free boiler grant scheme they have fitted the combi in the kitchen and ran a 22mm flow return to the kitchen rad aprox 1.5 meters away which is 15mm droped down pipes from above

    I said I would ask here ,Is it good practice to tap in to the 15mm pipework feeding a radiator for the main heating flow and return on a combi boiler.This has been done by a heating firm installing a new combi.It seems to work OK

    Door contact for UPVC frame

    Any negative reason why I cant do away with the door contact as I don't really want to screw them to a new door/frame and fit a pir in the small hallway and use as the entry exit
