personally think you get what you pay for but also depends on how clean systems are etc... I normally go for grundfos or myson's but if changing a head I use ideal universal heads !!

gonna go for the pcb mate as the valve is powered from here and if the valve was intermitting on/off and changed that then more likely the pcb... seen a few reports on suspect pcb's with older ones just dont know the symptons.... if that dont cure it I'll be taking it out and old one back...

when you look at the pcb, is the red led still on when when the water stops running ?? try running water, closing off then checking the led, if its still on then the flow switch is still made.. another thing to check is the frost stat...

the valve itself seems ok.. already changed the head as it wouldnt power when calling for heat ! it makes manually ok when pusing the slider... not been back to this one yet and no doubt when I get there it will be ok again !!

sounds good to me too, normally see the spur fuse blow on a lot of boilers when this happens and not the actual board internal fuse but the pump is direct via the pcb on these just like a combi.... hopefully tomorrow its an easy fix and is the pump.. really gotta be as its the only other...
