    Pootterton Lynx 2 combi problem

agree on these points also, if neglected over 12 years (which hasnt been confirmed ?) then the repairs could snowball and could cost a fortune, im sure the pcb is around £175 for these alone which would be the next problem i'd look at if it wasnt sensing the flame and the electrode and...

Potterton Puma 80: CH ok but hot water only works when CH on

I'll answer it NO NO NO !! Regardless of it only being the water section you are still inside the boiler. rule 26/9 should be carried out after any repair and as you are not CORGI then NO !! Pay the money and get it done right !!

Bosch Wocester 28Si pressure gauage keeps rising

you may find the expansion vessel has lost its charge therefore full of water and little or no air. If the system pressure is only rising during operation Id be inclined to check this out, failing that you may have a blockage

    leaking boiler

REFILL and test... If the leak is the heat enchanger then replace. The leak must be coming from the sealed system part for the pressure to drop as the DHW draw off is not sealed in the system and if it were leaking on this part then the pressure would not drop. If however the leak is coming...

Water shooting out of over flow

sounds like either 1. a faulty pump causing to overheat and blow off or 2. no air in the expansion vessel, no room for expansion of hot water and causing system to rise in pressure and blow off, if its this you will be constantly topping up water pressure in your sytem second 1 only if a...
